All for a mythical god (3)
I believe the answer is:
pan
'god' is the definition.
(Pan is a Greek god)
'all for a mythical' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'a' could be 'an' and 'an' is present in the answer.
A single letter 'p' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for pan that I've seen before include "Sweep" , "cake" , "search for gold and > god" , "Cooking vessel; forest god" , "Peter . . ., Barrie's immortal boy" .)
