I believe the answer is:

thicket

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'party policies' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both groups as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps there's an association between them I don't understand?

'bushes hot to disrupt' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'hot' could be 'h' (abbreviation, eg on taps) and 'h' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ticket' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for thicket that I've seen before include "Coppice" , "Mass of shrubs and small trees growing close together" , "Dense shrubbery" , "Dense growth of bushes" , "Dense group of trees or bushes" .)
