Coarse stuff from Germany (7)
I believe the answer is:
hessian
'coarse stuff' is the definition.
'hessian' can be an answer for 'stuff' (type of fabric). I am unsure of the 'coarse' bit.
I cannot understand how the rest of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for hessian that I've seen before include "Coarse fabric used in sacks" , "Hemp, jute fabric" , "Coarse jute/hemp fabric" , "It's rather like sacking" , "Jute clothing" .)
