Europeans excluded - they're quite different (5,5)
I believe the answer is:
poles apart
'quite different' is the definition.
'poles apart' can be an answer for 'different' (thesaurus). I'm not certain of the 'quite' bit.
'europeans excluded' is the wordplay.
'europeans' becomes 'Poles' (Pole is an example).
'excluded' becomes 'apart' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'poles'+'apart'='POLES APART'
'they're' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for poles apart that I've seen before include "Differing greatly" , "Incompatible" , "Goalposts are" , "Completely different" , "some Europeans?" .)
