High-flying business quickly capturing asteroid (9)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

aerospace

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'high-flying business' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'quickly capturing asteroid' is the wordplay.
'quickly' becomes 'apace' (synonyms).
'capturing' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'asteroid' becomes 'eros' (I've seen this before).
'apace' going around 'eros' is 'AEROSPACE'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for aerospace that I've seen before include "Technology of flight" , "zone near Earth" , "Opera case (anag)" , "The aviation world" , "Nasa's speciality" .)
