Ross

I believe the answer is:

one-man band

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'musical virtuosity' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I can't tell whether this works.

'a singular' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'a' could be 'one' and 'one' is found within the answer.
'singular' could be 'a' (both can mean one) and 'a' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'display of' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for one-man band that I've seen before include "Sole trader" , "Multitasking musician" , "He provides his own accompaniment" , "Single person running a business" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
