Abbreviated, like everything in manual? (7)
I believe the answer is:
digital
'manual?' is the definition.
Both the answer and definition are adjectives. Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'abbreviated like everything' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'like' could be 'dig' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'dig' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ital' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'in' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for digital that I've seen before include "of modern clock?" , "Replacement for analogue" , "(Watch) without hands" , "Like modern cameras" , "Sort of radio" .)
