Crossword Genius

About to sit and take it easy (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

repose

'take it easy' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'about to sit' is the wordplay.
'about' becomes 're' (regarding).
'to sit' becomes 'pose' (as in sitting for a painter).
're'+'pose'='REPOSE'

'and' acts as a link.

(Other definitions for repose that I've seen before include "Quiet restfulness" , "place" , "Relaxation" , "Lie at rest" , "Rest - tranquillity" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph, The Globe and Mail and The Guardian.
