I believe the answer is:

field goal

'a basket' is the definition.
(field goal can mean a goal in basketball)

'accepting work easily filled' is the wordplay.
'accepting' indicates putting letters inside.
'work' becomes 'goa' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'easily' indicates anagramming the letters.
'filled' with letters rearranged gives 'fieldl'.
'goa' put inside 'fieldl' is 'FIELD GOAL'.
