Act coy in Waiting For Godot? (4,4,2,3)
I believe the answer is:
play hard to get
'act coy' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'waiting for godot?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'for' could be 'to' (eg both can mean 'in the opinion of') and 'to' is present in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'in' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for play hard to get that I've seen before include "Feign reluctance" , "Feign unwillingness as negotiating ploy" , "Adopt aloof pose" , "Seem unapproachable or uninterested" , "Act coy, hoping to increase one's appeal" .)
