Adult's complaint heard and raised (5-2)
I believe the answer is:
grown-up
'adult's' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'complaint heard and raised' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'and' could be 'n' (common abbreviation for 'and') and 'n' is present in the answer.
'raised' could be 'up' (similar in meaning) and 'up' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'grow' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
(Other definitions for grown-up that I've seen before include "Fully developed person" , "Fully-developed" , "Adult" , "Mature" , "Big" .)
