Ross

I believe the answer is:

beyond

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'after' is the definition.
(thesaurus)

'that sleeping?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'that' could be 'yon' (archaic term meaning 'that') and 'yon' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'bed' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

(Other definitions for beyond that I've seen before include "Farther along in space, time or degree" , "Outside the range of" , "On the far side of" , "Farther than or outside" , "Past" .)

I've seen this clue in The Sunday Times and The Times.
