Against constant reversal in position - it delays waste elimination (12)
I believe the answer is:
constipation
'waste elimination' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how they can define each other.
'against constant reversal in position it delays' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'against' could be 'con' (as in pros and cons, for and against) and 'con' is found within the answer.
'it' could be 't' (abbreviation. e.g. in 'tis) and 't' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
