Crossword Genius

An ideal description (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

utopian

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This clue might be a double definition.

'an ideal' is the first definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'description' is the second definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot see how they can define each other.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for utopian that I've seen before include "Perfectionist reformer" , "Of Thomas More's perfect place" , "Ideal; imaginary" , "Of ideal perfection (as More's state)" , "Just perfect, as in Thomas More's ideal country" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
