Approve remark with one final change (7)
I believe the answer is:
commend
'approve' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'remark with one final change' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'one' could be 'me' (a setter might use 'one' to humourously mean 'me') and 'me' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
(Other definitions for commend that I've seen before include "Present as suitable" , "Express approval of" , "Speak highly of" , "Praise formally" , "Speak approvingly of" .)
