Arab city having more taste? (7)
I believe the answer is:
tangier
'arab city' is the definition.
'Tangier' can be an answer for 'city' (city in Morocco). I am unsure of the 'arab' bit.
'more taste?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'taste?' could be 'tang' (tang is a kind of taste) and 'tang' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ier' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'having' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for tangier that I've seen before include "Moroccan seaport made of granite" , "More lemony" , "More piquant - Moroccan port" , "More pungent" , "Port in Morocco" .)
