Crossword Genius

Area of London very hard to get round (4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

soho

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'area of london' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'very hard to get round' is the wordplay.
'very' becomes 'so' (I've seen this in other clues).
'hard to get' becomes 'oh' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'round' says the letters should be written in reverse.
'oh' reversed gives 'ho'.
'so'+'ho'='SOHO'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for soho that I've seen before include "Colourful district in London's West End" , "W London area" , "Entertainment district in London's West End" , "Hunter's announcement of sighting a hare" , "London area; hunt call" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
