Arrangement of a fish, say (5)
I believe the answer is:
array
'arrangement' is the definition.
(array is a kind of arrangement)
'a fish say' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'a' is present in the answer.
'fish' could be 'ray' (ray is a kind of fish) and 'ray' is found within the answer.
A single letter 'r' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'of' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for array that I've seen before include "Fine assortment" , "Impressive display or range of something" , "Matrix; elaborate clothing" , "Line up" , "Rig up" .)
