Arrive so as to get into ball? (4,2)
I believe the answer is:
roll up
'arrive' is the definition.
(I know that roll up is a type of arrive)
'as to get into ball?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'ball?' could be 'roll' (balling is a kind of rolling) and 'roll' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'up' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'so' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for roll up that I've seen before include "smoke" , "Invitation to come" , "Home-made cigarette" , "Arrive -- handmade cigarette (4,2;4-2)" , "Appear" .)
