Arrive with grazier during fall (4,1,7)
I believe the answer is:
come a cropper
'fall' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'arrive with grazier during' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'arrive' could be 'come' (coming is a kind of arriving) and 'come' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for come a cropper that I've seen before include "Fail badly" , "Fail spectacularly" , "Suffer a defeat" , "Fall heavily and unexpectedly" .)
