As happens regularly, visits one (5,5)
I believe the answer is:
comes round
'visits one' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their -s form, I cannot see how one could define the other.
'as happens regularly' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'happens' could be 'comes' (coming is a kind of happening) and 'comes' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'round' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
