As one's written repeatedly, she was revered (4)
I believe the answer is:
isis
'she was revered' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'as one's written repeatedly' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'one's' could be 'is' (Roman numeral) and 'is' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'is' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for isis that I've seen before include "Part of river" , "banker in Oxford" , "A dark blue flower" , "Egypt. goddess" , "Si Si - she's an Egyption goddess" .)
