Asian/Latin translation holds a boy's heart (7)
I believe the answer is:
laotian
'boy's heart' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.
'asianlatin translation holds a' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'a' could be 'an' and 'an' is located in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for laotian that I've seen before include "language out East" , "Person from southeast Asian country" , "Oriental" , "Citizen of Vientiane, for example" , "Thai neighbour" .)
