At home, feeling better using breathing apparatus (7)
![Ross](/clue/static/ross-mug.min.png)
I believe the answer is:
inhaler
'breathing apparatus' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both man-made objects as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'at home feeling better' is the wordplay.
'at home' becomes 'in' ('I'm in' can mean 'I'm at home').
'feeling better' becomes 'haler' (more hale - healthy. I am not sure about the 'feeling' bit.).
'in'+'haler'='INHALER'
'using' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for inhaler that I've seen before include "Respiratory aid" , "Asthmatic's device" , "Boost to lungs" , "Drug dispenser" , "way of taking drugs" .)
