Crossword Genius

Aussie's to mind his manners, we hear, in place of industry

Ross

I believe the answer is:

beehive

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'place of industry' is the definition.
'beehive' can be an answer for 'place' (I have seen 'place of business' mean 'beehive' so perhaps 'place' could also mean 'beehive'). I am not sure about the 'of industry' bit.

I can't explain the rest of the clue.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for beehive that I've seen before include "where workers gather" , "nickname of US State" , "Skep" , "place of business" , "dated hairstyle" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
