Barker, it seems, can figure to go up (3)
I believe the answer is:
dog
'barker' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'it seems can figure to go up' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'go' could be 'do' (doing is a kind of going) and 'do' is located in the answer.
A single letter 'g' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for dog that I've seen before include "Cur" , "Follow; pet" , "Canine animal" , "Shadow" , "Follow - canine" .)
