Crossword Genius

Beach where male wears nothing -- now I see! (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

omaha

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'beach' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'male wears nothing now i see' is the wordplay.
'male' becomes 'm' (common abbreviation).
'wears' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'nothing now' becomes 'o' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'i see' becomes 'aha' (both are said after realising something).
'o'+'aha'='oaha'
'm' put inside 'oaha' is 'OMAHA'.

'where' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for omaha that I've seen before include "US city; D-Day 16" , "Where American may work" , "US 1944 D-Day landing beach" , "American Indian" , "Nebraska's largest city" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
