Bearing a remark about wine (11)
I believe the answer is:
comportment
'bearing' is the definition.
(I know that bearing can be written as comportment)
'a remark about wine' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'about' could be 'c' (abbreviation for circa) and 'c' is present in the answer.
'wine' could be 'port' (port wine is a kind of wine) and 'port' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for comportment that I've seen before include "good behaviour" , "personal manner" , "Conduct" .)
