Beef with teacher - access to computer not good (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

sirloin

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'beef' is the definition.
(I know that sirloin is a type of cut of beef)

'teacher access to computer not good' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'teacher' could be 'sir' (way of addressing a male teacher) and 'sir' is found in the answer.
'not' could be 'o' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'o' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lin' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'with' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for sirloin that I've seen before include "Quality cut of beef loin" , "Choice cut of beef" , "Prime cut of beef" , "Joint of beef" , "(Knighted?) cut of meat" .)

I've seen this clue in The Independent.
