Behind award for actor's moving finale (5)
I believe the answer is:
abaft
'behind' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'award for actor's moving finale' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'award' could be 'ba' (BA is an example) and 'ba' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'aft' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for abaft that I've seen before include "near end of Titanic?" , "In the stern half of a ship" , "behind at sea" , "Towards the back (naut.)" , "Towards the stern of a boat" .)
