Big shot in the film industry? (5-2)
I believe the answer is:
close-up
'big shot' is the definition.
'close up' can be an answer for 'shot' (I've seen this before). I am not certain of the 'big' bit.
'film industry?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'film' could be 'up' (Pixar film) and 'up' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'close' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'in the' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for close-up that I've seen before include "Large-scale photo" , "Short-range photo" , "Shot of small area" , "Detailed photograph of couples" , "Photo giving detailed view, as of actor" .)
