Bits of disturbance, but of a very civilised nature (6)
I believe the answer is:
urbane
'civilised nature' is the definition.
'urbane' can be an answer for 'civilised' (I've seen this before). I am not sure about the 'nature' bit.
'bits of disturbance but of a' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'a' could be 'an' and 'an' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'very' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for urbane that I've seen before include "Refined and civilised" , "Sophisticated and elegant - sounds citified" , "Suave, refined, courteous" , "Elegant and sophisticated - sounds like city type" , "Cosmopolitan" .)
