Black stone ready in socialites group (3,3)
I believe the answer is:
jet set
'black stone ready in socialites' is the definition.
'jet set' can be an answer for 'socialites' (I've seen this before). I'm not sure about the 'black stone ready in' bit.
'group' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'group' could be 'set' (both can mean a collection) and 'set' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'jet' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for jet set that I've seen before include "Rich group of travellers" , "Wealthy globe-trotters" , "High fliers" , "Moneyed crowd who travel in fast planes" , "socialites" .)
