Bond's old school one? (3)
I believe the answer is:
tie
'bond's' is the definition.
(both can mean a connection)
'old school one?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'one?' could be 'i' (Roman numeral) and 'i' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'te' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for tie that I've seen before include "Draw for neckware" , "Fasten, link to" , "It's worn under the collar" , "11 [KNOT]" , "Almost level" .)
