Bone-breakers aboard ship check quartzite? (6,3,6)
I believe the answer is:
sticks and stones
'bone-breakers' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'aboard ship check quartzite?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'aboard' could be 'on' and 'on' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
