Crossword Genius

Brought back inside, always it's uneasy (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

restive

'uneasy' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'brought back inside always it's' is the wordplay.
'brought back' is a reversal indicator.
'inside' indicates putting letters inside.
'always' becomes 'ever' ('ever' can be a synonym of 'always').
'ever' enclosing 'its' is 'evitser'.
'evitser' backwards is 'RESTIVE'.

(Other definitions for restive that I've seen before include "Unable to stay still" , "Impatient - jumpy" , "Fidgety, uneasy" , "Unable to keep still" , "Unsettled" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
