Came into a place of entertainment (6)
I believe the answer is:
cinema
'a place of entertainment' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'came into' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'into' could be 'in' and 'in' is found in the answer.
an anagram of 'came' is 'cema' which is within the left over letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for cinema that I've seen before include "(Building showing) films" , "Movies, pictures" , "Movie house" , "Movie theatre" , "Place of entertainment" .)
