Can one old line of pillars look different? (9)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

colonnade

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'look different?' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot see how they can define each other.

'can one old line of pillars' is the wordplay.
'can one old' can be anagrammed to 'COLONNADE'.
However, I am not clear how the anagram is indicated.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for colonnade that I've seen before include "Collection of columns" , "Row of evenly spaced pillars" , "supporters in a row" , "Arcade" , "Row of columns supporting a roof" .)

I've seen this clue in The Irish News.
