Card game children might play in break (4)
I believe the answer is:
snap
'card game' is the definition.
(simple card game)
'children might play in break' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'break' could be 'nap' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'nap' is located in the answer.
A single letter 's' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for snap that I've seen before include "you may take on holiday" , "on the spur of the moment" , "Photograph - without warning" , "Crack; bite" , "Break with a crack" .)
