Caught and executed (4)
I believe the answer is:
done
This clue could be a double definition.
'caught' is the first definition.
The answer and definition can be both to do with motion as well as being past participle verbs.
Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?
'executed' is the second definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'and' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for done that I've seen before include "that may be said to seal a deal" , "Thoroughly cooked; accomplished" , "Concluded (and dusted?)" , "Finished like node" , "(Of food) well cooked" .)
