Caught by light suggesting stop — there's curve in road (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

camber

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'curve in road' is the definition.
'camber' can be an answer for 'curve' (I have seen 'Curve of road ' mean 'camber' so perhaps 'curve' could also mean 'camber'). I am not sure about the 'in road' bit.

'caught by light suggesting stop' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'caught' could be 'c' (cricket abbreviation) and 'c' is found in the answer.
'light' could be 'amber' (I've seen this before) and 'amber' is present in the answer.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'there's' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for camber that I've seen before include "Upward curve of a road surface" , "Convex shape of road surface" , "Slight tilt" , "Slight upward curve in road, wing etc" , "Slight convexity, like the surface of a road" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
