Cheated out of some wool? (7)
I believe the answer is:
fleeced
'cheated' is the definition.
(fleecing is a kind of cheating)
'some wool?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'wool?' could be 'fleece' (fleece is a kind of wool) and 'fleece' is located in the answer.
A single letter 'd' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'out of' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for fleeced that I've seen before include "soaked" , "Taken for a ride" , "Took coat off" , "Ripped off" , "Taken to the cleaners" .)
