China's place in Western Europe (7)
I believe the answer is:
dresden
'china's' is the definition.
(a type of porcelain)
'place in western europe' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'place' could be 'den' (den is a kind of place) and 'den' is present in the answer.
'europe' could be 'e' (abbreviation eg in E number) and 'e' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'drs' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for dresden that I've seen before include "Type of china" , "Industrial city" , "source of 26 [CHINA]" , "Send Red out to the German city" , "German city known for its china" .)
