Collection of holes shaped by drill (5)
I believe the answer is:
round
'holes shaped by drill' is the definition.
'round' can be an answer for 'holes' (a round of golf). I'm not certain of the 'shaped by drill' bit.
'collection of' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'of' could be 'o' and 'o' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'rund' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for round that I've seen before include "Ignore fractions" , "To the opposite position" , "Piece of boxing" , "Having a circular shape" , "Number of drinks bought together" .)
