Combined both breeding hub and breeding ground (6)
I believe the answer is:
hotbed
'breeding ground' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'combined both breeding hub' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'both' is 'hotb' which is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ed' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'and' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for hotbed that I've seen before include "Forced to grow up early in this" , "Place with ideal conditions for development" , "vicious place" , "Place with ideal conditions for rapid growth" , "Scene of rapid growth, as of intrigue" .)
