Company vehicle covered by MOT in shot, burning (10)
I believe the answer is:
combustion
'burning' is the definition.
(I know that burning can be written as combustion)
'company vehicle covered by mot in shot' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'company' could be 'bus' (bus company is a kind of company) and 'bus' is found within the answer.
an anagram of 'mot' is 'omt' which is present in the left over letters.
The remaining letters 'cion' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for combustion that I've seen before include "See 12 and 20" , "Process of burning" .)
