Complete remainder left as tip (11)

I believe the answer is:
overbalance
'tip' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'complete remainder left' is the wordplay.
'complete' becomes 'over' (I've seen this in another clue).
'remainder left' becomes 'balance' (I have seen 'The remainder' mean 'balance' so perhaps 'remainder' could also mean 'balance'. I am not sure about the 'left' bit.).
'over'+'balance'='OVERBALANCE'
'as' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for overbalance that I've seen before include "Fall down" , "Tip" , "Topple" , ""take a tumble."" , "destabilise" .)
