Confronted with DUP deposing leader they're no longer in favour of (2,7)
I believe the answer is:
up against
'confronted with' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'dup deposing leader they're no longer in favour of' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'leader' could be 'aga' (I've seen this before) and 'aga' is present in the answer.
'no' could be 'n' (common abbreviation) and 'n' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for up against that I've seen before include "Confronted with a problem, or close to" , "Facing" , "Confronted with, opposed by" .)
