Both the answer and definition are adverbs. Perhaps you can see an association between them that I don't see?

'bewildered with lordly surroundings' is the wordplay.
'bewildered' becomes 'dazed' (I've seen this in another clue).
'with lordly surroundings' becomes 'ly' (I am not sure about this - if you are sure you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'dazed'+'ly'='DAZEDLY'
