Crossword Genius

Continue to talk too much (2,2)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

go on

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This could be a double definition.

'continue' is the first definition.
(I know that continue can be written as go on)

'talk too much' is the second definition.
'go on' can be an answer for 'talk' (going on is a kind of talking). I am unsure of the 'too much' bit.

'to' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for go on that I've seen before include "Silly person - bully (US)" , "eg Spike Milligan" , "Harry Secombe, for instance" , "Peter Sellers or Spike Milligan, say" , "Witter - words of encouragement" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
